About Bridges

Who Are We

Bridges is an awareness consortium of compassionate bloggers who are using writing to educate, tell a story, bring awareness, and build community. Our contributing editors all keep personal blogs and our blogroll serves as a cross-section of community where you can find various stories on a plethora of topics.

We are people who spend more time listening than speaking; more time learning than educating. Our ears, eyes, and hearts are open to new ideas. We want our vision of the world changed by what we read. We are willing to be engaged and challenged when done so politely from those with an open heart who would also like to learn. We give support where it is needed and step outside our small niche in the blogosphere in order to lend our ears and voices to other causes in exchange for mutual support.

Contributing Editors

Our contributing editors are voices from their community within the blogosphere. Each keep a personal blog where they cull articles. They also may choose to post (with permission) an article from another blogger in their community. If you would like to be a contributing editor, please check the editor list to see if there is an opening for your community. If your community is not listed yet on the contributing editors page, please suggest a new category by writing Melissa.

Blogroll

Our blogroll is open to everyone who is a compassionate blogger who uses their blog to educate, tell a story, bring awareness, and/or build community. If you would like to be added, please send an email to Melissa with your blog information (name and url) as well as which category would be best. If a category does not yet exist for your blog, please write and suggest one. Our blogroll is always growing and changing.

Melissa, i know your site is new and so maybe you've yet to creat this ~ but have you thought about a button for this blog? it would be a brilliant way to promote traffic to this site (the good kind of traffic) and spread the awareness. i would definitely put it on my blog, for now it sits on my sidebar.

one love,
Lil
