I was living and working in Stockholm, Sweden. I had a business meeting with bigwigs that afternoon when my phone started going crazy, all calls from the States. I later listened to the voicemail--confusing messages of planes falling, people dying, misinformation was everywhere. I couldn’t get news websites to load so I took the train to my flat, where I spent the evening watching the TV and crying. It felt like the end of the world, and some of my team were Stateside for a week as airports closed. I felt we’d never be safe again.
