100 Words - 14

The scent of industrial strength cleaner
In the hospital
No help to be found
Putting you on the bedpan
Finding warm wipes to ensure your comfort
Changing your sheets
Washing your hair and body
No waiting for others to do it
Sleeping on a pull out twin bed
Conversations all night
Listening to your moans
Crying softly to sleep
Keeping fear at bay
Bringing inspiration to keep living – a gospel vocalist from my choir
Hoping and praying for recovery
Battling with doctors
Standing by your side and holding your hand
My love for you mother.
Unwavering. True.
